Tribal Grantee Tools

PHMSA funds and promotes enhanced outreach and training efforts to support State and local government organizations through the HMEP grant program. In addition to supporting state and local government organizations, HMEP grants are also awarded to federally-recognized Indian nations.

PHMSA is committed to working with tribes on a collaborative basis to ensure that the planning and training emergency response needs for hazmat incidents are fulfilled. PHMSA wants to ensure that the federally-recognized Indian nations are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to carry out emergency response planning and training efforts using the HMEP grant program.

This website is currently under development and will host information on training and planning that is tailored to tribal grantees.
